Before Santa ever starts reviewing his naughty and nice lists, he’s out checking his sled. The last thing he wants to do have Rudolf breakdown while he’s trying to deliver presents. Before you head out driving this winter season, you will want to double check your family sled. The last thing you want is car problems while delivering presents for family parties. Here are a few things from Sheffield Towing that will keep your family safe and keep you from having to call local reindeer for towing.
Check your tires:
Santa would never leave without looking at the runners on his sled. You will want to make certain your tires have plenty of tread. Check the air pressures on all of you tires and make certain that your tires are running with the right psi.
Check your windshield wiper fluid:
Santa has an open sleigh without windows, but your vehicle has glass to keep the chill outside. With all the road salt and grime, you will need to make certain you have enough windshield wiper fluid to keep your vision clear.
Check your windshield wipers:
If you have all the windshield wiper fluid you could hope for, it won’t do you much good if your wiper blades are bad. If they are leaving a lot of streaks, or missed spots driving in a storm is going to be problematic. New blades will help you see where you are going this holiday season.
Bring a Phone:
You don’t have to depend on snow globes for communication, you have a cell phone. But if you forget to bring a charger your phone will become worthless pretty quickly. When you know the weather might be bad, make certain you have your phone and a charger.
Check you battery:
Sometimes Santa forgets to read the small writing that batteries are not included. Don’t make the same mistake. When the weather gets cold, your batter has to work harder to start your car. Have your battery checked and if needed, replace it.
Pack your Bag:
Your bag of toys will be a little different than Santa’s. In your car you will want to include an emergency bag. Sometimes problems happen despite all of your preparations. In your bag you might want to include a little first aid kit, road flares, jumper cables, and tire inflating gel. In addition it might be good to include a few snacks, a bottle of water and warm clothing like a hat, coat, and gloves.
